FAQ

How long will my order take to process? (Christmas Edition!)

We want all of our customers to be happy with their purchases this Christmas, and to avoid disappointment we have decided that the new order cut off date we are setting for expected delivery before Christmas is 28th November.

We are going to continue to work all the way up to Christmas Eve, and smaller orders should be delivered before Christmas even if they are made after that date, but we wanted to be up front with our customers about our lead times. Rest assured that if you have ordered already, your models should be with you long before Christmas, but we decided to set our cut off point early so that we don't make any promises we can't keep.

How long will my order take to process? (Normal Edition!)

We aim to fulfil all orders within two weeks of purchase, but smaller orders are usually fulfilled much earlier than this (often within 48 hours) and larger orders can sometimes take a little longer. The 3D printing process takes time, and we want to ensure that you are happy with your order.

Why do you provide models with supports removed?

All of our products are shipped with supports removed because that offers the best experience for customers. Many 3D printing services do not remove supports for their customers and expect them to do it themselves. We want our customers to be able to assemble their models straight out of the box, so we remove supports and cure the parts before shipping them to you, so that minimal effort is required to get them ready for your tabletop or cabinet. Other manufacturers claim that they do not remove supports in order to prevent models from breakages during transit, but the truth is that removing prints from supports takes time and effort, and often results in breakages, so parts must be reprinted. Hammerline takes on this work so that our customers don't have to do it.

How are these miniatures manufactured?

All Hammerline Miniatures products are 3D printed on top-end printers using high-quality resin and are washed, cured and have the vast majority of supports removed. Some clean up and assembly may be required.

How can I contact Hammerline?

The best way to get in touch is via email at info@hammerline.co.uk. We aim to reply within 24 hours, but sometimes it can take longer during busy periods.

Is Hammerline licensed to sell these miniatures?

Yes, we only advertise miniatures we are licensed to sell.

Can I make a custom order?

Yes, we are happy to offer a range of services, including resizing, rescaling (e.g. printing at 32mm scale instead of 28mm), and printing of files you have created. Please contact us if you have any requests, we are always happy to help.

What resin do you use to print these models?

We use a blend of high-quality resins to provide a more durable finished product.

Can I get my order faster for a special occasion?

We will try our best to accommodate your request, please contact us before making an order with all the necessary details.

How much cleanup and assembly work is required before I can paint my models?

A lot less than many other manufacturers’ products! One of the great advantages of 3D printed miniatures is that there are no mould lines on the prints, and that only a little filing and removing of support residue is required. The few remaining/residual supports can easily be removed with side cutters or a hobby knife and filed to create a smoother surface if desired. Then all that is needed is to assemble the models – we recommend using superglue (CA glue).
